This October the PTXM festival will explore the theme of Regeneration. Through the loss and dislocation we have collectively experienced, how have our myths, rituals, and symbols sparked joy and regeneration within our textile practices? What are the reflections that have inspired and shuttled us through uncertain times? And what role do art, community building, protesting, teaching, sharing, and grieving play in regenerating the communities and worlds we inhabit?
We are honored to explore this important topic with you highlighting diverse perspectives across a myriad of cultures and generations. Please join us in sharing your projects, knowledge, experiences, and practices highlighting the power of inclusive grassroots organizing during this year's PTXM festival.
Submissions are open to all individuals, artists, businesses, organizations, and institutions in Portland and beyond.
With gratitude and admiration,

Remembering Andrea Aranow
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of the pioneering fashion designer, textile collector, and entrepreneur Andrea Aranow. Andrea lived a rich life, influencing and inspiring us with her intellect, curiosity, creativity, and passion for, fashion, textiles, design, and travel. The knowledge she shared through her textile collection, exhibits, showcases, and lectures, informed and enriched each year's festival.
We continue to honor Andrea's legacy, spirit, and passion for textiles globally as we expand to promote exchanges between textile communities throughout the world during Portland TextileX Month. Those with stories, pictures, or remembrances of Andrea are encouraged to contribute them to be included in a virtual exhibit opening on October 26th as Part of PTXM.
