Michelle Freedman is a Portland, Oregon based designer, teacher, and maker. Her recent quilt designs have been published in Quiltmaker, Fons & Porter’s Quick + Easy Quilts, and McCall’s Quilting and have been featured in the Quilting Daily Quilted Jacket Workshop and the cover of Sew News magazine. On weekdays she designs quilts and works as the marketing, graphic design, and website manager for Maywood Studio. When she isn’t sewing or drawing, you can find her tending to her dye garden or writing that mystery novel she hopes to publish one day. Michelle has a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. She co-authored the Book How the West Was Worn which accompanied an exhibit of the same name at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage.
