Kara Gilbert is the badass at the helm of Vibrant Valley Farm, a group of dedicated farmers committed to exploring innovative solutions to enliven the current food, flora and fiber systems.
Vibrant Valley Farm is located on Sauvie Island, on unceded Wapato Territory. Wapato Island was a place for tribes to gather, trade and take advantage of the ever so bountiful, rich soil, fruit and fauna that inhabited this region. Vibrant Valley carries deep compassion for this land and pay their respects and homage to those that inhabited this space, place and land before us and by doing their best to respect and honor the land in our work daily.
Vibrant Valley farms vegetables, flowers and dye plants and in each step of the process we honor sustainable practices to create healthier communities locally and globally in our outreach, education and daily systems.
