Tea Sit
October 15-October 31
A tea sit in silent meditation.
Tea Sit is an invitation to sit in silence among textiles and ceramics created for the purpose of serving tea. It is a place to meditate with and fully receive tea, to be with the living energy of people and plants, and to be served in a beautiful way. The silence is to allow the space to take in your surroundings and focus on the five senses. This ceremony differs from traditional tea ceremonies in that the organizer, Janessa Bautista, has formulated this ceremony from a culmination of their experiences with tea and their tea practice, a new tradition which is slowly evolving. This invitation is for all people, with a strong encouragement for BIPoC to attend.
The viewing hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday.
This event is donation-based.
